This is the Debian GNU/Linux prepackaged version of the GNU
C/C++/Objective-C compiler and the GNU cpp preprocessor.  GCC was written
by Richard Stallman and a cast of thousands.  (See "Contributors" in the
info documentation for a full list.)

This package was put together by Martin Mitchell <martin@debian.org>, from
sources obtained from:
 ftp://prep.ai.mit.edu/pub/gnu/gcc-2.7.2.3.tar.gz

 * added Debian GNU/Linux package maintenance system files
 * Minor fix to invoke.texi (added @itemize @bullet and @end itemize)
 * Removed misplaced paragraph in cpp.texi
 * Added Objective-C patches for gnustep people (taken from
   gstep-base-0.2.12)
 * Added f/lang*.h files for fortran support (from g77-0.5.21)
 * patch objc/thr-posix.c to support conditions 
 * Fixed security flaw in opening temporary files in gcc.c
 * Added patches for m68k and sparc
