This package (musixtex) was debianized by Anthony Fok <foka@debian.org>
on Mon, 14 Jul 1997 07:55:17 -0600.

It was downloaded from one or more of the following FTP sites:
    ftp://ftp.gmd.de/music/musixtex/
    ftp://ftp.lps.u-psud.fr/pub/music_zips/
    ftp://ftp.lps.u-psud.fr/pub/musixtex/

This release was built with the following files:
    musixtex.zip or musixtex-T90.tar.gz
Main package (MusiXTeX macros, musix fonts,
	and MusiXTeX Manual in TeX/DVI)
    musixexa.zip or musixexa-T90.tar.gz
Example MusiXTeX music scores source files
    musixdoc_ps.zip
MusiXTeX Manual in PostScript format (A4, 300dpi)
    musix.msg
New MusiXTeX release announcement by the author

In this Debian package, no modifications were made to the source files.
A few bash/Perl scripts: musixtex.postinst, musixtex, Make_musixdoc
were added to configure the system (e.g. adding the font names to teTeX's
$TEXMF/special.map) and to facilitate MusiXTeX music score files compilation.

MusiXTeX is available at anonymous ftp (maintained by author, D. Taupin):
  ftp.lps.u-psud.fr = 193.55.39.152
  individual files in directory pub/musixtex
  zipped distrib in ftp://hprib.lps.u-psud.fr/pub/music_zips/musixtex.zip

MusiXTeX may be freely copied, duplicated and used. However, since
it is intended to be a "no cost software" you are not allowed to sell
it, and the fee you may ask for distributing it must be limited to
maintenance, support and duplication costs. You may take it or parts
of it to include in other packages, but no packages called MusiXTeX
may be distributed under this name if different from the original
  distribution (except obvious bug corrections).

Adaptations for specific implementations (e.g. fonts) should be
provided as separate additional TeX or LaTeX files which override
  original definition.

MusiXTeX may be included in further commercial packages, provided
that no additional fee is charged for MusiXTeX itself.
