This is the Debian GNU/Linux prepackaged version of the GNU shell
programming utilities, aka sh-utils.

It is maintained by Galen Hazelwood <galenh@debian.org>, and built
from sources obtained from:
 ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/sh-utils-2.0.tar.gz

It was originally built by Ian Murdock <imurdock@debian.org>, from GNU
sh-utils-1.12.

Changes:
 * added Debian GNU/Linux package maintenance system files
 * Altered src/su.c to use standard Debian default paths and full logging
   (This is now irrelevant; we use shadow's su instead)
 * Added Lars Wirzenius's patch to src/echo.c to fix bad error handling
 * Added Matthias Klose's (?) patch to src/printf.c to check for write errors
 * Added Matthias Klose's (?) patch to src/yes.c to check for write errors
 * Added Ben Collins' patch to src/uname.c to enable special sparc64 trickery
 * Added "cest" and "cewt" timezones to lib/getdate.y
 * Changed src/who.c so hostnames are no longer looked up
 * Fixed paths to utmp and wtmp in doc/sh-utils.texi, also small change
   to date documentation
