3ddesktop for Debian
--------------------

About xbindkeys:

If you have an unused mouse button on your mouse (e. g. thumb button),
you can use it to invoke 3ddesk using xbindkeys. There are three relevant
things you have to know about this:

1. I suppose your mouse has lot's of buttons, so make sure that the
protocol (set in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4) supports all the buttons (as
ExplorerPS/2 for example). Setting the "Buttons" option to the number of
your mouse buttons is NOT enough! (Check with xev if you're not sure).
Don't forget that generally, a mouse wheel is equal to two buttons.

2. There seems to be a bug somewhere, the mouse wheel sometimes hangs when
3ddesk has been invoked by xbindkeys. There is a quick & dirty workaround:
Just kill xbindkeys everytime you start 3ddesk and run it again afterwards.
This is a sampe of my ~/.xbindkeysrc:

   "3ddesk --mode=carousel; killall xbindkeys; xbindkeys"
      m:0x0 + b:6 (mouse)

3. If a mouse button is grabbed by xbindkeys, you can't use it for anything else.
So only use buttons which are not needed.
