aboot for Debian
----------------

This package was originally created by Jeff Noxon <jeff@planetfall.com>,
was then maintained by Greg Johnson <gjohnson@physics.clarku.edu>
and is now maintained by Helge Kreutzmann <kreutzm@itp.uni-hannover.de>
and Steve Langasek <vorlon@debian.org>.

The upstream maintainer are now Will Woods <wgwoods@mac.com> and
Chris Lumens <chris@bangmoney.org>.

The aboot package includes code from the milo source tree (srmbootfat
and srmbootraw) on request by the d-i; I have not tested it. You can get
the full source from:
http://www.suse.de/~stepan/source/milo-2.2-18.tar.bz2

For architectures other than alpha, the aboot-cross package contains
isomarkboot and srmbootfat required to create bootable images in d-i.
On alpha these are contained in the aboot package. Since they are
architecture independent but not heavily tested on non-alpha archs use
with proper care and please *report bugs* if they don't work on your
favourite architecture!
