abuse (2.00-12) unstable; urgency=low
* Rebuilt with debhelper 1.1.24 to change how files are registered as suid.
* Modifications to macs.hpp to work with new types.h header file.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Tue, 27 Oct 1998 18:45:50 -0800
abuse (2.00-11) unstable; urgency=low
* Rebuilt with a newer svgalib.
* Hacked debian/rules so the package still depends on svgalib-dummyg1.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Sat, 14 Mar 1998 17:39:45 -0800
abuse (2.00-10) unstable; urgency=low

abuse (2.00-8) unstable; urgency=low
* Now depends on abuse-lib.
* Use debhelper.

abuse (2.00-7) unstable; urgency=low
* Register with suidmanager again now that debhelper supports it.
* Fixed abuse so it will work in svga mode if ran as a normal user (it was
giving up some permissions too early).
* Make abuse.console suid.
* Added console abuse to menu file.
* Modified wrapper to not KILL the sfxdrv command, just send it a TERM
signal, so it has time to clean up after itself.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Sat, 18 Oct 1997 22:07:12 -0400
abuse (2.00-6) unstable; urgency=low
* Suggest: abuse-sfx so people will know about this package when
installing abuse.
* Now built with debhelper.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Sat, 27 Sep 1997 21:15:23 -0400
abuse (2.00-5) unstable; urgency=low
* Retry at uploading the proper files.

abuse (2.00-4) unstable; urgency=low
* Rebuilt linked to all libc6 libraries (svgalib, xlib).
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Mon, 8 Sep 1997 14:30:11 -0400
abuse (2.00-3) unstable; urgency=low
* Fixed control file to place into main distribution.
* Routine update of debian/rules:
Fixed binary-indep target.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Sat, 6 Sep 1997 23:45:01 -0400
abuse (2.00-2) unstable; urgency=low
* Since abuse-lib is free, this package can go into the main distribution
now!
* Fixed -nosound parameter so it actually works.
* Not being able to load a sound file is not a fatal error anymore.
* Modified wrapper script to check if sound files are available, and use
-nosound if not.
* Now suggests the non-free package abuse-sfx, for sound effects, but will
work fine without it.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Sun, 27 Jul 1997 08:23:24 -0400
abuse (2.00-1) unstable; urgency=low
* New upstream release - abuse source code is now available. (Yippe!!)
* Abuse is now in the public domain; changed copyright file.
* Rebuilt with libc6, no longer a.out format, fixes bug #4096
(Currently linked against libc5 svgalib; needs to be recompiled sometime.)
* This package no longer includes the abuse levels data, it is only the
Abuse game engine. It recommends abuse-lib, so it stays in contrib for
now.
* Svgalib Abuse works again, added back into binary package.
* Svgalib Abuse was _still_ vunarable to a $PATH security hole. Modified
game.c to change the values of PATH, ABUSE_PATH, and ABUSE_SAVE_PATH,
to fix this security hole.
* Svga abuse doesn't work when run as a normal user, even when suid root.
Until I can fix this, it will not appear on the debian menus, or be
installed suid. Added a note to README.debian about this.
* Renamed x11 abuse wrapper to /usr/games/abuse.x11R6 for consistency.
* Updated package description.
* Small changes for libc6.
* Updated menu file to new format.
* Network support does not compile, and is disabled for now, noted this in
the README.debian.
* Routine update of debian/rules:
Fakeroot and sudo fixes.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Tue, 22 Jul 1997 17:11:38 -0400
abuse (1.10-8) unstable; urgency=low
* Fixed "no newline at eof" problem in source package.
* Fixed copyright file (#8386).
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Fri, 28 Mar 1997 18:11:09 -0500
abuse (1.10-7) unstable; urgency=low
* Dropped svga abuse from the package. It will not be added back unless it
starts working with some future kernel version or is fixed. It had
stopped working at about kernel version 2.0.0. This "fixes" bugs #4406
and #5821.
* Include symlink for hardness.lsp.
* Clean out /var/lib/games/abuse on purge
* Clean out old /usr/lib/games/hardness.lsp on purge, if it exists.
(Fixes old bug.)
* Depends on libc4. This was messed up.
* Rewrote the wrapper as a shell script. The more complex C wrapper is
unnessessary now that abuse is not runing suid root and the svga
version is gone.
* Modified the wrapper to remove /tmp/.abuse_ndrv_in and other files
on exit. Abuse leaves these lying around, and it prevents the next person
from playing until they are deleted. Also kill the lnx_sdrv and keydrv
helper programs abuse sometimes leaves running.
* Routine update of debian/rules:
Clean up junk files in subdirs.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Sat, 8 Mar 1997 11:38:13 -0500
abuse (1.10-6) unstable; urgency=low
* Fixed problem with source package (diff file contained new
subdirectory; dpkg-source doesn't like that.)
* Fixed copyright file that was missing the actual text of the copyright
in the last version.
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Sun, 12 Jan 1997 19:04:17 -0500
abuse (1.10-5) unstable; urgency=high
* New maintainer: Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org>.
* Upgraded to standards version 2.1.2.2.
* Fixed serious security hole in svga abuse (allowed any user to get root)
* Added menu file.
* Use debmake.
* Moved libs into /usr/lib/games/abuse (bug #3963).
-- Joey Hess <joeyh@master.debian.org> Fri, 10 Jan 1997 21:08:56 -0500
