Debian Package acl-installer
============================

This is the Debian package acl-installer, a package to install and
configure Franz's Allegro ANSI Common Lisp. This package was initially
written by Peter Van Endye in November 2000. In July 2002, the package
was adopted by Kevin M. Rosenberg with a near-complete rewrite adding
numerous features.

The current version of acl-installer supports
  - Installing the Trial Edition of AllegroCL. The package
    can either download the Trial Edition from Franz's web site
    or can install from a local copy.
  - Installing a commercial version of AllegroCL.
  - Integration Common Lisp Controller.

To use the Trial Edition of AllegroCL, you need to have a license
file, devel.lic, from Franz. You can get one of these free of change
from Franz's web site: http://www.franz.com/downloads/licenses.html

To use a commercial version of AllegroCL, use the devel.lic file
that you received from Franz with your purchase.
