<code>(Assoc-string-equal x alist)</code> is similar to <code><a href="ASSOC-EQUAL.html">assoc-equal</a></code>.
However, for string <code>x</code> and alist <code>alist</code>, the comparison of <code>x</code>
with successive keys in <code>alist</code> is done using <code><a href="STRING-EQUAL.html">string-equal</a></code>
rather than <code><a href="EQUAL.html">equal</a></code>.

and <code>alist</code> is an alist.
