This is the Debian GNU/Linux prepackaged version of the afio utility and was
put together by Dirk Eddelbuettel <edd@debian.org> from the sources at
	ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/system/backup/

It was written by Mark Brukhartz <..!ihnp4!laidbak!mdb>,
			Jeff Buhrt <uunet!sawmill!prslnk!buhrt>,
			Dave Gymer <dgymer@gdcarc.co.uk>,
			Andrew Stevens <as@prg.oxford.ac.uk>,
Koen Holtman <koen@hep.caltech.edu> (the current maintainer) and
			Anders Baekgaard <ab@osiris.cpk.auc.dk>

The large beginning section of the main code file afio.c follows. It refers
to the GNU GPL, GNU LGPL and Perl Artistic licenses all of which can be found
in the directory /usr/share/common-licenses/ on any Debian GNU/Linux system.
Note that the address of the FSF was updated to show the current address.
