&+B-----------------------------------------------------------------&*
^^
Below is a list of common IRC commands and their equivalent here on
the MUD. Anything written in &+Ggreen&* is a command that you can
type to get more information on the MUD usage.
&+M/JOIN or /PART&*
The MUD is not made up of channels like IRC but a series of "rooms"
that you enter and leave, much as you would rooms in a house.
To move about the MUD you must use the movement commands
(&+Ghelp movement&*)
&+M/LIST &*
Because the MUD is not made up of channels you cannot "list" the
areas available for you to visit. You must actually explore the
city/tavern/guild etc on foot by using the movement commands
(&+Ghelp movement&*)
&+M/ME &*
Actions on the MUD are created by using the emote commands
(&+Ghelp actions&* or &+Ghelp emotes&*)
&+M/MSG &*
In order to talk privately to another person on the MUD you need
to use the Tell command (&+Ghelp tell&*) You can use this command
for a private conversion with someone in the same room or anywhere
on the MUD.
&+M/WHOIS &*
You are unable to get more information about a person from a
distance while on the MUD. You can however &+Glook&* at someone
who is in the same room as you are and this will tell you more
about what they are wearing, their description and in the case of
a slave, if they are collared and to whom. See &+Ghelp look&*
for more infomation about the look command.
&+M/NICK &*
You are unable to change your nick on the MUD. The name you chose
when first connecting to the MUD is the name you must wear for the
entire duration of your time on the MUD. Multiple nicks are NOT
permitted on the MUD. If you wish to change your nick or create
another nick for any reason please contact a MUD administrator
either by email at &+gdeshadow.mud@mindspring.com&*, the notice
board in the Ubars offices or by speaking to vikka or PajVar.
&+M/QUIT &*
In order to leave the MUD, you must use the &+Gquit&* command.
This will save everything you are carrying and your last location
so that when you next log onto the MUD you will still have all
your gear and will return to the place you left.
&+M/AWAY &*
There is no away function on the MUD. If you do not quit the MUD
correctly or there is no keyboard activity for some time, you are
first moved to a limbo area and if there is still no keyboard
activity you are automatically logged off the MUD.
