\- do dynamic rotation of a log file

.SH DESCRIPTION
.B rotatelogs
copies its standard input to a
.I logfile
that is rotated automatically every
.I rotation
seconds.
The files in which the data are written are named
.IR logfile .nnnn
where the extension is the time at which the creation of the file takes
place.
.SH EXAMPLE
The following line in
.B httpd.conf
can be used to rotate the transfer log each day:

    TransferLog "|rotatelogs /var/log/apache/access.log 86400"
