Getting Atari ROMs
------------------
The Atari ROMs can be downloaded from:
http://www.signus.demon.co.uk/david/atari/xf25.zip
Note that if you don't own an atari, getting the ROMs via ftp may not be
legal. You must have the ROMs to use this emulator. They should be installed
in /var/lib/atari/ROMS/ . See INSTALL for more information.
Getting Atari Software
----------------------
I have included one atari game, Alien Encounter, with this package, with the
permission of the author. If you know of something else that could be
included, and has a copyright that would let it be included, please let me
know.
To add other software, you'll have to find your own disk images (some are
in the xf25.zip I mentioned above), and install them in /var/lib/atari/DISKS
Running the Emulator
--------------------
3 versions of the Atari emulator are included, for curses, svgalib, and X.
So if you want to run the emulator in X, run "atari800.x11". For svgalib,
run "atari800.svgalib" and in plain text mode, run "atari800.curses".
There is also a script that will try to automatically detect which version
to use, and it is installed as "atari800".
