sndfile-play plays the specified sound file using :

/dev/audio on Sun Solaris
CoreAudio on Apple MacOSX
waveOut on Microsoft Win32

sndfile-play uses libsndfile (http://www.mega-nerd.com/libsndfile/)
to read the file.
