<SPAN CLASS="textbf">Babel:</SPAN> A borrowed array is a SIDL array that does not manage its own data.
The data is provided by some third party, who is also in charge of
deallocating the data. It is useful for sending data through Babel, but the
developer must beware in case the third party deallocates the
array data before the program has finished with it.
