The return statement is used with the <a href="el_gosub.html" class="wikilink1" title="el:gosub">GOSUB</a> statement to return control to the next statement, within a <a href="el_subroutine.html" class="wikilink1" title="el:subroutine">SUBROUTINE</a> to return control from the subroutine, or with a <a href="el_function.html" class="wikilink1" title="el:function">FUNCTION</a> to return a value to the calling code.
