This Tool displays the status of a ppp link in an decorated window,
simulating the look of the Blackbox toolbar (Blackbox is a
Windowmanager for X11).
Features:
- start/stop pppd
- show status of connection
- show connection time
- show current throughput over the ppp link
- show rx and tx
- You can change the look to compact which is a lot smaller than the normal
look.
To compile bbppp for use with an isdn modem:
configure --enable-isdn
There are a number of command line options:
-compact: show just one button to start/stop ppp
-orient v: show tool with vertical oreientation (just have a look)
-notime : don't show time label
-thru : show throughput label
Use left button to start and stop the ppp-link.
The middle button shows tx, the right one rx.
bbppp -orient v shows the tool in a 64x64 pixel format.

To copy this look a great deal of the code is taken from Blackbox.
The files Image.cc (.hh) and Linkliste.cc (.hh) are taken from the
Blackbox distribution with only minor changes.
The code to get the status of the link (pppstat.cc) is copied from wmppp.
