If you are installing this on a non-Linux unix-variant, it should be
pretty simple.  Look at INSTALL.linux

The makefile should still work, but there are differences in utilities
between unices, so I'm not sure what to expect.  If the makefile
doesn't work even after you've edited its variables to reflect your
system's paths, you can follow the instructions in INSTALL.linux with
any alterations that are required for your system.
