The new (2.9) code to handle display widths wider than 80 columns
has not been implemented in the OS/2 or bound executables. The Vio
calls do not return the proper information in my tests on a paradise
card in 132-column mode (see the VioSetMode docs in the on-line 
reference "prcp.inf").
