# Contributing to the CFEngine masterfiles

* indent properly (CFEngine has a reindentation script in `contrib/reindent.pl`)
* test thoroughly (the same test procedures apply as in [core](https://github.com/cfengine/core/blob/master/HACKING.md))
* document well
* lurk for a bit
* don't be afraid to ask questions
