Hi all!

QuteCsound 0.6.1 is out! It's been so long since the last release, that
even though some of the features I wanted to complete for it aren't done,
the amount of changes and fixes, will hopefully be welcome.

QuteCsound is a frontend for Csound featuring a highlighting
editor with autocomplete, interactive widgets and integrated help. It
can open files created in MacCsound, and aims to be a simple yet
powerful and complete development environment for Csound.

QuteCsound has been tested on Windows, OS X, Linux and Solaris,
and it is free software released under the LGPLv2 or at your option
GPLv3.

There are binary packages for Windows and OS X, and a source package
for other platforms.
You can get it here:

There is also an experimental package for OS X (called "-full"), which
contains Csound inside, so you don't need a separate Csound installation,
(which means it will work immediately without installation - very handy if
you don't have the root password for a system).

text between the nearest "##" at the begining of a line. This way you
can mark large blocks of code that can be easily evaluated without

-Merged uncomment action into comment. Comment action now acts as a
comment toggle.
-Unindent/indent Uncomment/comment can now be made in succession to the

-Unindent/indent Uncomment/comment will no longer affect the next line
when the line ending is selected.

-Added jumping to line to inspector headers (according to the first
element under the header)
-About Box now displayes the currently used Csound version and precision.
-Python editor now indents when line ends with ':'
-Widgets can now be pasted to/from a text editor in case you want to edit them as text.

Fixed in version 0.6.1:
-Put back support for chnget/chnset.
-Fixed setting of environment variables (SSDIR, SFDIR, etc.)
-When an error is found, and the text editor is moved to the line, the
editor will leave at least 5 lines at the top. If error text does not
match, the editor will not scroll to the reported line.
-Finally fixed widgets windows which showed up at start by saving the binary
state of the application after closing all documents.
-Corrected offset in widget selection.
-Fixed order of widgets when copy/paste and when send to back.
-SF_Record and other examples fixed
-Extension to render filenames is now automatically appended.
-Improved looks of live events panels reducing borders
-Improved coloring of csound console messages to avoid spurious blue when
"B" character is present.

-Documents are now displayed at the first line (instead of the last) when
just loaded.
-Instruments in inspector now retain their collapsed/expanded state if
text is modified.
-Comments are now placed in correct places in the inspector, if they are
inside instruments and if they are in the score.
-Improved performance of syntax popup menu on OS X.
-FLOSS Manual Examples reordered and added.
-Csound Consoles now set background color properly.
-Fixed reserved mouse channels _MouseX, _MouseY, _MouseRelX, _MouseRelY and _MouseBut1

Internal changes in 0.6.1:
-Reduced size of OS X bundle by removing debug Qt binaries
-Removed need to use libcsnd, as perfthread is no longer used.
-Fixed linking to libsndfile, thanks to Andrew Antle.
-Improved internal keyboard shortcut storage to make it more flexible.
This means however that keyboard shortcuts are reset.

If latch button is of event type and duration is negative, it is turned

interpreter. Run in term will run it on a separate terminal.

More improvements toward independent widget window
When an error is found, and the text editor is moved to the line, the
editor will leave at least 5 lines at the top. If error text does not
match, the editor will not scroll to the reported line.

Instruments in inspector now retain their collapsed/expanded state if
text is modified.
Comments are now placed in correct places in the inspector, if they are
inside instruments and if they are in the score.

Auto join orc/sco is now transparent and automatically creates and saves
a csd file. Needs a bit more testing but it seems to be working fine.

Fixed rounding errors in SpinBox, as a consequence it no longer rounds
to the precision but displays the received value.
The environment value CS_OMIT_LIBS is now set to ignore fltk opcodes
using csoundSetGlobalEnv (which is not currently working...)
