The <code class="methodname">Db::get_msgfile()</code> method returns the
<code class="literal">FILE *</code> used to output informational
or statistical messages. This file handle is configured using
the <a class="xref" href="dbset_msgfile.html" title="Db::set_msgfile()">Db::set_msgfile()</a>
method.

life of the application.
