<p>The <a href="../api_reference/C/dbopen.html#open_DB_EXCL" class="olink">DB_EXCL</a> flag to the <a href="../api_reference/C/dbopen.html" class="olink">DB->open()</a> method now works for
subdatabases as well as physical files, and it is now possible to use
the <a href="../api_reference/C/dbopen.html#open_DB_EXCL" class="olink">DB_EXCL</a> flag to check for the previous existence of
subdatabases.</p>
