Renaming of the delta executable
--------------------------------
This package originally installed its main executable as /usr/bin/delta.
That name proved to be ambiguous and caused file conflicts with other
package, as documented in Debian bug #529044.
As a result, the executable was renamed to "singledelta". This avoids name
collisions and more accurately reflects the program’s purpose: delta
debugging of a single input file.
Although the original conflicting package (swap-cwm) has since been removed
from the archive, the name "delta" remains generic and is still used by other
software, such as git-delta, which currently installs /usr/bin/delta.
Reverting this renaming would risk reintroducing conflicts and user
confusion. Therefore, the use of the "singledelta" executable name is
intentional and must be preserved.
