Namespaces for IP over IEEE 1394
The configuration ROM for IP-capable nodes contains at least
one unit directory that identifies a unit architecture specified
by either RFC 2734 or RFC 3146. The 48-bit unit architecture
identifier consists of a 24-bit Unit_Spec_ID value and a 24-bit
Unit_SW_Version value; the use of these configuration ROM entries
is specified by ISO/IEC 13213:1994.
For IP (both IPv4 and IPv6) over 1394, the value of Unit_Spec_ID
is 0x00 005E, the company ID assigned to IANA by the IEEE Registration
Authority.
The following values have been registered for the Unit_SW_Version:
  Value Description Reference
--------- -------------- ---------
0x00 0000 Reserved [RFC2734]
0x00 0001 IPv4 over IEEE 1394 [RFC2734]
0x00 0002 IPv6 over IEEE 1394 [RFC3146]
0xFF FFFF Reserved [RFC2734]
MCAP (Multicast Channel Allocation Protocol) Parameters
Section 9.1 of [RFC2734] defines MCAP group address descriptors,
which include an 8-bit type name space.
