Finding a RFC:
/usr/share/doc/RFC/rfc-status.txt.gz has a list of all RFCs, the package
they are in, and their current status.
There are a few other indices in the same directory that you might want
to look at.
The RFCs are currently split in multiple packages:
- doc-rfc-std: the current standard and draft standards
- doc-rfc-std-proposed: the current proposed standards
- doc-rfc-old-std: old standards (all flavours)
- doc-rfc-fyi-bcp: the current for-your-information and best practices
- doc-rfc-experimental: the current experimental RFCs
- doc-rfc-misc: historic RFCs and current drafts
- doc-rfc-informational: current informational RFCs
- doc-rfc-others: old experimental RFCs and unclassified RFCs
