.SH "COMMANDS"
.SS "log errors"
.P
\fBdoveadm\fR \[lB]\fIGLOBAL OPTIONS\fR\[rB] log errors \[lB]\fB-s\fR \fImin_timestamp\fR\[rB]
.P
The \fBlog errors\fR command is used to show the last - up to 1,000 - errors and warnings. If no output is generated, no errors have occurred since the last start.
.P
\fB-s\fR \fImin_timestamp\fR
.RS 0
.RS 4
.P
An integer value, representing seconds since the epoch - also known as Unix timestamp. When a min_timestamp was given, doveadm(1) will only show errors occurred since that point in time.

.SS "log find"
.P
\fBdoveadm\fR \[lB]\fIGLOBAL OPTIONS\fR\[rB] log find \[lB]\fIdirectory\fR\[rB]

command is used to show the location of the log files, to which dovecot(1) logs its messages through
.SS "log reopen"
.P
\fBdoveadm\fR \[lB]\fIGLOBAL OPTIONS\fR\[rB] log reopen
.P
This command causes \fBdoveadm\fR to send a SIGUSR1 signal to master process, which causes it to reopen all log files configured in the \fIlog_path\fR, \fIinfo_log_path\fR and \fIdebug_log_path\fR settings. These settings are configured in \fI/etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-logging.conf\fR.
.P
The master process also signals the log process to do the same. This is mainly useful after manually rotating the log files.
.SS "log test"
.P
\fBdoveadm\fR \[lB]\fIGLOBAL OPTIONS\fR\[rB] log test
.P
This command causes \fBdoveadm\fR to write the message "This is Dovecot's \fIpriority\fR log (\fItimestamp\fR)" to the configured log files. The used priorities are: \fBdebug\fR, \fBinfo\fR, \fBwarning\fR, \fBerror\fR and \fBfatal\fR.
