Template: dump/dumpdates_is_a_symlink
Type: note
_Description: /etc/dumpdates is a symlink, dump will look in /var/lib/dumpdates
Your /etc/dumpdates is a symlink. Dump will look for dumpdates in
/var/lib/dumpdates. A symlink in /etc/dumpdates adds no known value (as
nothing outside the dump package is known to use it) and is likely to
confuse someone eventually. The most likely reason for this symlink to
exist is that you once had a much earlier version of the Debian dump package
installed that behaved poorly. Please remove /etc/dumpdates.

Template: dump/moving_from_etc_to_var
Type: note
_Description: Moving existing /etc/dumpdates to /var/lib for FHS compliance.
