GtkPixmapMenuItem is a Gnome
            widget despite its name. This widget solves a very
            specific problem: namely, if a menu contains check or

            the menu items in the menu to make room for the check
            or radio buttons. Gnome uses pixmaps next to some menu
            items; GtkPixmapMenuItem
            indents pixmaps in the same way GTK+ indents check or

                The text widget doesn't seem to be very powerful.

            The text widget does not support horizontal scrolling;
            instead, it wraps lines. It is not very powerful, and
            the code is difficult to maintain; it will most likely
            be replaced in Gtk 1.4 as part of the move to Unicode.
