GTK+ and Gnome technologies. Chapters 2 and 3 rapidly
cover the basics of GTK+ programming. These chapters
move very quickly, and give you the information you
need to understand the remainder of the book. For a
gentler introduction to GTK+, you may wish to read the
<i class="EMPHASIS">GTK+ Tutorial</i> or Eric Harlow's
book <i class="EMPHASIS">Developing Linux Applications
with GTK+ and GDK</i>.
