Function
Check for more recent updates to EMBOSS
Description
embossupdate checks for the latest EMBOSS updates and reports if a more
recent version is available.
Algorithm
The EMBOSS webite maintains a page for the latest release with all
fixes available as patches or as new distributions.
embossupdate reads this page and reports a description of any changes
and instructions for updating. These are read from the updates page and
subject to change.
If no later version is found embossupdate reports success.
Usage
Here is a sample session with embossupdate
% embossupdate
Check for more recent updates to EMBOSS
EMBOSS 6.6.0.0 is the latest version (6.5.0.0)

Input file format
embossupdate reads a page from the EMBOSS website at
http://emboss.open-bio.org/updates/EMBOSS.fixes for a Unix version, and
http://emboss.open-bio.org/updates/mEMBOSS.fixes for Windows releases.
Output file format
embossupdate reports any more recent updates, or reports that the
current version is up to date.
