Help on 'foster' Feta 1.4.0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 'foster' command goes through your list of installed packages and
makes sure you want to keep them all. It only asks you about packages
that are not depended on by other packages. 'foster' is a good way of
removing cruft or old packages from your system, in case you install
some packages you later decide you don't want, but can't remember all
of the names.
'foster' remembers your choices and will only ask you about newly
installed packages (or packages that were depended on before, but aren't
now) each time you run it.
EXAMPLES
--------
To verify each package you want installed:
# feta foster
To tell Feta that you know you want to keep all your current packages
(This is useful to run shortly after you install Debian, when you are
sure the system only has the packages you want):
# feta -y foster
To ask about packages you have already said you want to keep:
# feta -V foster
OTHER REFERENCES
----------------
