Help on 'overrides' Feta 1.4.0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

'overrides' helps you manage stat overrides. In Debian, a stat override
is a way of telling the system you want to use a different owner, group,
or set of file permissions than is normal for the file. Most commonly,
overrides are used to put a suid bit on a file that needs to be run as
a specific user.

'overrides' gives you a simple menu that lets you add, remove, or view
overrides more easily than the individual commands.

In general, you don't need to edit stat overrides yourself; instead,
packages will install them as needed, or ask you questions and add them
automatically.

EXAMPLES
--------
To add a stat override:
 # feta overrides
 A)dd, D)elete, V)iew overrides, or Q)uit? [advq] a
 Add an override for: /usr/bin/rio
 User: root
 Group: rio
 Mode: 04750

To view current overrides:
 A)dd, D)elete, V)iew overrides, or Q)uit? [advq] v
 Program User	Group	Mode
 /usr/bin/rio root	rio	04750

OTHER REFERENCES
----------------
'overrides' uses dpkg-statoverride(8).

Feta has 'add-override', 'remove-overrides', and 'list-overrides' commands
as well, if you don't want to use the menu interface 'overrides' provides.
