ffprobe for Debian
===============

How to obtain an updated source tarball
---------------------------------------

Retrieve the revision number by the following way:

export SRC_VERSION=`svn info --xml \
	https://ffprobe.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ffprobe/trunk | \
		sed -ne 's/.*revision="\(.*\)">/\1/p' | uniq`

Change to a temporary directory:

cd /tmp

Get the sources from upstream's trunk repository:

svn export -r $SRC_VERSION \
	https://ffprobe.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ffprobe/trunk \
		./ffprobe-0.svn$SRC_VERSION

Then, create the tarball:

tar cf ffprobe_0.svn$SRC_VERSION.orig.tar ffprobe-0.svn$(SRC_VERSION) \
	--exclude=tools
gzip -9fn ffprobe_0.svn$(SRC_VERSION).orig.tar
rm -rf ffprobe-0.svn$SRC_VERSION

A gzipped tarball will be created into the current working directory and you
can place it wherever you want.
This package uses quilt to manage all modifications to the upstream
source. Changes are stored in the source package as diffs in
debian/patches and applied during the build.
