Martin Lottermoser's general-purpose PCL 3+ Ghostscript
driver. The development of this driver is continued under the name
"<a href="show_driver.cgi?driver=pcl3">pcl3</a>". This
database entry serves for the case that your distro has the "hpdj"
driver compiled into Ghostscript and you do not want to recompile
it to get "pcl3" into it. If you compile Ghostscript you should
prefer to directly use "pcl3".<p>
It is known to work reasonably well with a wide assortment of PCL
DeskJets. This driver has many options; be sure to consult the
man page gs-hpdj(1) for more information.<p>
For many printers, the <a
href="show_driver.cgi?driver=hpijs">HPIJS</a> driver may
produce better color output.
