foomatic-gui
------------
This is a GNOME2 interface to the foomatic printing system for Linux
and other operating systems. It is designed to be
spooler-independent, and should work with CUPS, LPRng, ppr, pdq, lpd
and "direct" spoolers with no modifications.
Requirements: (Debian package versions)
- python (>= 2.2.2-1)
- python-gnome2 (>= 1.99.13-2)
- python-glade2
- foomatic-bin (>= 2.0.2-20021124-3)
Probably useful:
- PyXML (to speed up the XML parsing)
Strongly recommended:
- gs-esp (ESP Ghostscript)
Diagnostic tools:
foomatic/detect.py should produce a list of available ports
foomatic/foomatic.py should produce a list of existing printer queues, as
well as information on some printers found in the database (indexed by
make, printer ID, and USB/parallel autodetection string).
