These files contain patches and additions to support fudgit under SVR4. The
main testing platform was ESIX 4.03A but the patches should be applicable
to all SVR4's. Makefile.svr4 and install.svr4.c should be copied to the src
directory. The patch should be applied from the top level fudgit directory
with patch -p1 < fudgit_svr4.patch. It would be nice to have this stuff
included in future fudgit releases. The fudgit executable can be stripped
even when using shared objects.
I also changed (in the tools directory)
Ft_matherror("%s: Called with an odd number %d.", "myproc", n);
to
fprintf(stderr, "%s: Called with an odd number %d.", "myproc", n);
because symbols from the calling routine are not accessible from the called
routine (for security reasons). The change is also made in the help file.
I don't think this change is major---if you need fudgit routines why call
an external one? Anyway this mod is portable across all platforms.
Please feel free to modify anything that I have done as you see fit.
