<P><FONT SIZE="5">9.10 Execute</FONT><BR>
<P>The <SAMP>execute</SAMP> command causes a specified text
file to be executed as a FunnelWeb shellscript. The first
argument is the name of the script file. The remaining
arguments are assigned to the substitution variables
<SAMP>$1</SAMP>, <SAMP>$2</SAMP>, ..., <SAMP>$9</SAMP>.
Substitution variables in the range <SAMP>$1</SAMP> to
<SAMP>$9</SAMP> that do not correspond to an argument are set
to the empty string <SAMP>""</SAMP>. <SAMP>$0</SAMP> is set to the
empty string regardless. The execute command can be used
recursively, allowing shell scripts to invoke each other. A
file extension default of "<TT>.fws</TT>" (FunnelWeb Script)
applies to script files.

execute megatest.fws /usr/users/ross/fwtest !
execute sloth

<P>The first example above will result in the following
substitution variable assignments.

$9 = ""

<P>It should be stressed that there are no local variables
in the FunnelWeb command language; the variables above are
globally modified.
<P>The <SAMP>execute</SAMP> command was added to allow the
creation of sub-scripts to test FunnelWeb in particular
ways.
