<P><FONT SIZE="5">9.13 Fw</FONT><BR>
<P>The <SAMP>fw</SAMP> command allows FunnelWeb proper to be
invoked from a shell script. The syntax is almost identical
to the syntax with which FunnelWeb is invoked from the
operating system.
<P>
<PRE>
Syntax : fw = "fw" s ordinary_funnelweb_command_line
Examples: fw sloth +t +d
fw -l walrus
</PRE>
<P>Some important points about this <SAMP>fw</SAMP> command
are:
<P>
<UL>
<LI> Options are inherited from the default shell options.
<LI> The <SAMP>F</SAMP> (input file option) must be turned on.
<LI> The <SAMP>K</SAMP>, <SAMP>H</SAMP>, and <SAMP>X</SAMP> options must be turned off.
<LI> The <SAMP>J</SAMP> option must be turned off.
<LI> The options specified in a <SAMP>fw</SAMP> command do not affect the default
shell options.
<LI> This command performs no action in the OpenVMS version of FunnelWeb.
</UL>
