<para>Defines a border style for windows.
<replaceable>state</replaceable>
can be either "<fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="Active"/>" or "<fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="Inactive"/>". If
<replaceable>state</replaceable>
is omitted, then the style is set for both states. If the
<replaceable>style</replaceable> and <replaceable>flags</replaceable>
are enclosed in parentheses, then multiple
<replaceable>state</replaceable>
definitions can be specified per line.</para>
<para><replaceable>style</replaceable>
is a subset of the available button styles, and can only be
<fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="TiledPixmap"/>
(uniform pixmaps which match the bevel colors work best this
way) or <fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="Colorset"/>. If a
'!' is prefixed to any
<replaceable>flag</replaceable>,
the behavior is negated. If
<replaceable>style</replaceable>
is not specified, then one can change flags without resetting the
style.</para>
<para>The
<fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="HiddenHandles"/>
flag hides the corner handle dividing lines on windows with
handles (this option has no effect for !<fvwmref cmd="Style" opt="Handles"/> windows). By
default,
<emphasis remap='I'>HiddenHandles</emphasis>
is disabled.</para>
<para>The
<fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="NoInset"/>
flag supplements
<emphasis remap='I'>HiddenHandles</emphasis>.
If given, the inner bevel around the window frame is not drawn.
If
<emphasis remap='I'>HiddenHandles</emphasis>
is not specified, the frame looks a little strange.</para>
<para>
<fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="Raised"/>
causes a raised relief pattern to be drawn (default).
<fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="Sunk"/>
causes a sunken relief pattern to be drawn.
<fvwmopt cmd="BorderStyle" opt="Flat"/>
inhibits the relief pattern from being drawn.</para>
<para>To decorate the active and inactive window borders with a textured
pixmap, one might specify:</para>
