GAP sources for Debian
----------------------

To generate the tarballs used by Debian you must do the following:

1) Download gap4rXpY_nopackages.zip from
ftp://ftp.gap-system.org/pub/gap/gap4core/gap4rXpY_nopackages.zip

2) Use the script `tarball' (in the debian directory) as follows:
sh tarball ../gap-4.X.Y-core.zip
This script split the tarball in two and remove non-DFSG files, binary files
and irrelevant files.

3) You end up with a directory gap with the following tarball:
gap_4.X.Y.orig.tar.gz
