This command can be found in each image menu at
<span class="guimenu">Image</span>-><span class="guimenuitem">Duplicate</span>.
</p>
<p>
Duplicate creates a new image which is an exact copy of the
current one, with all its layers, channels, pathes. The GIMP
clipboard is unaffected.
