当图像第一次打开时，您有两种显示选择：使整个图像缩放并舒服地与您的图像窗口大小相符合，或用实际 1:1 大小显示。当选择第二个选项时，图像可能非常大，图像窗口就只能显示其中的一部分(不过您可以滚动到其它部分)。

勾选该选项，然后在使用涂画工具时，您移动光标就会在图像上显示画笔轮廓。在比较慢的系统中，而画笔又非常大，有时 GIMP 就可能在跟随您的移动过程中产生延迟：这时应当关闭该选项，而其它时候打开它常常非常有用。
