We will start off using the file <U>data</U> in your directory.

minimum and maximum values for the first two columns. Given our
knowledge of how to set up linear projections with <B>-R</B> and <B>-JX</B>,
try the following:

<LI>Plot the data as transparent circles of size 0.3 inches.

<LI>Plot the data as solid white circles instead.

<LI>Plot the data using 0.5" stars, making them red with a thick (width = 1.5p),
