<title>Alterando os formatos de data e medidas</title>
<p>Pode controlar os formatos que são usados para datas, horas, numerais, unidade monetária e unidades de medida para corresponder aos costumes locais de sua região.</p>

<p>Open the <gui xref="shell-introduction#activities">Activities</gui> overview and
start typing <gui>System</gui>.</p>

<p>Select <guiseq><gui>Settings</gui><gui>System</gui></guiseq> from the
results. This will open the <gui>System</gui> panel.</p>

<p>Select <gui>Region & Language</gui> to open the panel.</p>
</item>

<p>In the <gui>Your Account</gui> section, click <gui>Formats</gui>.</p>

<p>Under <gui>Common Formats</gui>, select the region and language that most
closely matches the formats you would like to use.</p>

<p>Clique em <gui style="button">Concluído</gui> para salvar.</p>
</item>

<p>Your session needs to be restarted for changes to take effect. Either click
<gui style="button">Restart…</gui>, or manually log back in later.</p>

<p>Depois de ter selecionado a região, a área à direita da lista mostra vários exemplos de como as datas e outros valores são mostrados. Apesar de não mostrado nos exemplos, sua região também controla o dia que inicia a semana nos calendários.</p>
