<dd><p>This function simultaneously sorts the eigenvalues stored in the vector
<var>eval</var> and the corresponding real eigenvectors stored in the columns
of the matrix <var>evec</var> into ascending or descending order according to
the value of the parameter <var>sort_type</var>,
