Layout Statements</A>

<P>
These are simple statements of the form:
<BR><I>[show|hide] element</I>
<BR>
The element list is as follows:
<BR>
<UL>
<LI><B>KEYBOARD</B>: The actual keyboard display
</LI>
<LI><B>BUTTONBAR</B>: The bottom row buttons
</LI>
<LI><B>MENUBAR</B>: The pulldown menus
</LI>
<LI><B>TEXT</B>: The main text editing area
</LI>
<LI><B>STATUS</B>: The status buffer
</LI>
<LI><B>TOOLBAR</B>: The icon toolbar
</LI>
</UL>
<P>
Each statement contains the word ``show'' or ``hide''
followed by an element name. The corresponding element is either
shown or hidden when the application starts. Using the Looks menu you
can always display or hide things after the application starts
though. The default for all elements is show.
