\DOC infix_variable

\TYPE {infix_variable : string -> void}

\SYNOPSIS
Makes a HOL variable parse and print as an infix.

\DESCRIBE
A call {infix_variable `x`} makes {x} an infixed
variable. This is purely an interface property for the current
session. Infixed variables are assumed curried. Infixed variables used
in non-infix positions (e.g. as arguments or when being quantified)
must be preceded by {$}.

\FAILURE
Never fails.

\EXAMPLE
{
   #new_special_symbol `<<`;;
   () : void

   #infix_variable `<<`;;
   () : void

   #"!$<<. TRANSITIVE $<< = !(x y z:*). x << y /\ y << z ==> x << z";;
   "TRANSITIVE $<< = (!x y z. x << y /\ y << z ==> x << z)" : term
}
