\TYPE {splitp : ((* -> bool) -> * list -> (* list # * list))}

\SYNOPSIS
Splits a list into a pair of lists according to a predicate.

\KEYWORDS
list.

\DESCRIBE
{splitp P [x1;...;xk;...;xn]} returns {([x1;...;x(k-1)],[xk;...;xn])}
where {xk} is the first element satisfying the predicate {P}.
If no element satisfies {P}, {([x1;...;xn],[])} is returned.

\FAILURE
Never fails.
