\TYPE {implode : (string list -> string)}

\SYNOPSIS
Converts a list of single-character strings into one string.

\DESCRIBE
{implode [s1;...;sn]} returns the string formed by concatenating the
single-character strings {s1 ... sn}. If {n} is zero (the list is empty),
then the empty string is returned.

\FAILURE
Fails if any of the strings in the argument list are null or longer than one
character.
