http-analyze is a log analyzer for web servers. It analyzes the server's
logfile and creates a detailed summary of the site's access load in tabular,
graphical and three-dimensional form.
Please read the instructions in this file and the file INSTALL before you
use the program. The most recent changes in this version of http-analyze
are described in the file CHANGES.

LICENSE TYPES
-------------
We have different license types for different purposes. Although we require
commercial users (who plan to provide statistics to their customers for
money) to register for a Commercial Service License, some provider did choose
to offer the statistics services to their customers without charging them
fees using a free, unsupported Personal License. You decide for yourself.
However, support and assistance is made available only to Commercial Service
Licensees, who actively support our developements.
o Personal License:
Available for individuals and non-profit organizations for free.
Includes the right to use the unaltered copy of http-analyze for
private or educational use. This license is the replacement for
the former freeware version of http-analyze, which was distributed
under the same conditions. Note that the Personal License does not
include support nor technical assistance. Registration of a Personal
License is possible only through our web site using a valid email
address to which our robot will send the registration information.
Use of http-analyze with the Personal License requires agreement to
the license terms, which is indicated by registering the software.
The license terms are also included in the file LICENSE.
o Commercial Service License:
Includes the right to use an unaltered copy of http-analyze on
a physical system for as many virtual web servers you wish.
Also includes access to an extended online support area on our
web server and the right to customize the analyzer by adding
the company's logos and suppressing the copyright note in the
statistics report, what was often requested by ISPs. Registered
users may also download helper applications and documentation
from our web site. Companies and service providers are obliged
to buy a Commercial Service License in order to use the software
for commercial purposes, such as providing statistics services to
their customers for money. The Commercial Service License is
available for a reasonable one-time fee, which covers our cost
for developement and support of the software for professional use.

o Unlimited Commercial Service License:
Companies, who wish to use http-analyze on many physical systems
can buy an Unlimited Commercial Service License which covers all
systems at their local site for a reasonable one-time fee.
o Single Site Source License:
This license allows modifications of the sources for own purposes
on own platforms. Necessary to change the analyzer software (for
example to adapt it to the "look & feel" of some other product).
The Single Site Source License does not include the right for
redistribution of either the modified source code or the binaries.
o Unlimited Source License:
Just as a Single Site Source License, but also includes the right
to redistribute the modified binaries.
PRICES
------
For legal reasons and to avoid increased handling fees, payments must be made
in German Marks (GDM) or Euro (EUR). This is usually no problem for a bank.
Please don't forget to instruct your bank to cover all exchange and handling
fees from your end. We cannot be responsible for bank charges due to wire
transfers, currency exchange etc.

* For the per-CPU prices, the term "CPU" describes a separate, physical
system regardless of the number of physical processors and regardless
